We always stay at Disney value resorts when we go to Disney World. They
are the least expensive and happen to be our kids favorite place to stay. Wehave stayed at all of the All Star resorts and Pop Century. They are all very
clean and nice places to stay. The rooms are very basic. I think the kids like
the huge icons best of all. Pop Century has a large gift shop and a big food court.
We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs and the kids felt like they weren't in Disney
World. The gift shop and food court were pretty small. We didn't have maid service because
it was a time share. At Pop Century the cleaning person would do something special
to the room. They would rearrange our stuffed animals or make the towels into characters.
All part of the Disney magic our kids loved.
When we stayed at Pop Century it was pretty crowded. The food court was
crowded, the bus going to and from the park was crowded, and the pool was crowded.
It wasn't a very relaxing place to stay but the kids fit right in with all of the buzz.
When we stayed at Saratoga it was like night and day. Saratoga is really relaxing.
It is just across the lake from Downtown Disney. We took a nice boat ride over to Downtown
Disney, we rode a 4 person bike around our resort, we relaxed at the pool and nice playground.
We had the food court practically to ourselves. We saved a day on our Disney passes with all
of the fun stuff we had to do at the resort and Downtown Disney. We also saved by buying
the timeshare off of e-bay for a week. We had another day left at Disney and we decided to'
go back to Pop. They said they had 1 room left. Our kids were thrilled. When we got out
of the suv to go into Pop you could hear the funky music from the different era's playing.
The kids could feel the fun buzz of the place and were so happy to be back at Pop. I myself
loved the relaxing Saratoga Springs but were happy the kids were happy. My husband was
happy because of the price.
